School Rules :
The Academic Year
One Academic Year comprises three terms.
For the Session 2011-2012 only; the Academic year is divided into the following terms :
First Term April to May June and July (Summer Vacations)
Mid Term August to December
Final Term January to May
Further amendments in the session schedules will be in accordance with
government policies.
School Rules and Regulations (For Parents)
School Timings 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon
Parents must ensure that the child reaches school premises 10
minutes before the starting time.
Sun Academy will provide an Identity Card to the students. To
ensure each child’s safety, it will be essential for the person who
comes to pick the child to show the I.D. card at the gate.
PTA meetings will take place on a quarterly basis to enhance
communication between teachers and parents. A total of three
meetings will take place throughout the year, but in order to
have an additional meeting, the parents can make an
appointment with the teacher by writing a note in the child’s
homework diary.Teacher will then send an appointment slip to
the parents and meet at the appointed time.
In case of a child’s absence from school due to illness, the child
is supposed to bring a note from his/her parents on the following
day.
Children should come to school in neat and clean uniform and
polished shoes.
Assessment & Evaluation System:.
There will be no formal examination for kindergarten. The assessment
pattern is as follows:
Students will be assessed on a continuous basis. All evaluations will be made on the basis of class room performance. Students’ performance record will be maintained through monthly
progress charts and reading graphs. The students will not be graded through marks; instead the grading
will be done through star code as a criterion of success.
A monthly evaluation/progress report will be maintained by the faculty
for each student and these progress reports will be sent home to parents
twice in a year.
