Curriculum :

Quality education for all!

At SUN Academy the students will have a quality day on a daily basis.
Education at SUN Academy concentrates on exploration and enhancement
of the student’s creative and problem solving potentials. Our curriculum is
based on activities and requires each student to develop cognitive skills as
well as demonstrate creativity by participating in drama, art, music and
numerous other co- curricular activities, along with their academic pursuits.

Personal and Social Development:

We encourage children to develop confidence, play together and
share while playing. We promote the development of good behavior
and manners.

Communication:

We encourage children to speak clearly and become good listeners.
Special emphasis is given to speaking in English with phonetics.
We create opportunities for children to join in with stories, poems,
    rhymes, songs and role-play.
Children are taught to link sounds to letters and start to recognize
    the receptive key words.
They are also encouraged to experiment with different writing material
    so that they can attempt writing for a variety of purposes.
They are actively engaged in question-and-answer dialogue with
    classmates and teachers to improve their speaking power.
They are also encouraged to work as a team on projects or      problemsolving exercises.

Mathematical Development:

Children are encouraged to acquire accurate mathematical language. Their
lessons will include:
Comparisons between tall and short, light and heavy.
To recognize patterns, colors, sizes and shapes.
Count objects, recognize, write and form correct numeric order.

Understanding of the World

Children are encouraged to use their senses and to describe and discuss
what they see and discover.
They are encouraged to ask questions about why things happen
    and how things work.
The children are also taught simple IT skills through computer
    packages.

Creative Development

Children will have many opportunities to express themselves through
    drawing and painting.
They will work collaboratively with a partner or a group.
Learn and sing songs and rhymes, play instruments and recognize
    and explore how sounds can be changed.
Children will be encouraged to use their imagination in dressing up
    and role-play.

Language Development

As modern medical research has shown that a child up to the age of 5
years has a tendency to become multilingual (by easily learning up to 5
languages). We plan to tap into this learning potential by teaching following
four languages at SUN Academy.
English
Urdu
Sindhi
Arabic

Physical Development

Special emphasis is paid on their physical development.
Learning and enjoyment through games.
They are encouraged to utilize playground equipment to have funfilled
    physical activities.

Outdoor creative activities will be encouraged via toys, water games and
sand areas.
